Investec SA Women's Hockey Team VS Holland Update

The Investec South Africa women's hockey team take on world number two nation Holland at the Wagener Stadium in Amsterdam late Tuesday afternoon in the first of two Test matches.

The South Africans are ranked 12th in the world. The matcc forms part of SA head coach Giles Bonnet's preparation for the Champions Challenge in Dublin, Ireland from June 18 to 26.

SA women bag first win of European Hockey Tour

The South African women's hockey team picked up the first win of their European tour with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Catalunya, Spain's strongest regional team, on Sunday.

Catalunya fielded eight national players, but a second-half goal from Sulette Damons clinched the win for the tourists in an entertaining game at the picturesque CD Terrassa Sports Club.

South Africa, who lost 2-0 in a two-match series against Spain earlier in the week, welcomed back superstar Pietie Coetzee who flew in from Johannesburg on Friday.
